My groupmates and I are having a hard time finding the perfect topic for our thesis. We are suppose to pass the list of our intended topics supported by journals on Friday. So you see, we are already running out of time. Any help, suggestions or comments will be truly much appreciated. Please, it should be Medical Technology/ Clinical Laboratory Science-related. :))
My first 16-hour night duty!
Receive ng request, ward mo, process mo, release mo. So that’s what I did that night. Mahirap kasi tatlo lang kaming interns, so all around. There came a time pa nga na may biglang dumating para magpakuha ng dugo sa emergency room. So I have to go there alone at kumuha ng dugo. I had 3 patients from the emergency room.
Then I learned to use that machines for CBC, PT and PTT, BUN, Crea, Urinalysis, etc. :))
Anyway, nakatulog naman ako for like 2 hours. from 3am to 5am. Then after that process ulit ng specimen. And release ulit before magout from duty. Kapagod. And yung mga staff, mababait ;) And what I loved about it, we had free dinner and free midnight snacks! Yay! :))
I’m looking forward for my next night duty: Saturday! Sana di rin ganon katoxic! :)

fuckyeahmolecularbiology:
Kupffer cells are specialized macrophages that patrol tiny vessels in the liver called sinusoids, recycling old red blood cells and ingesting pathogens. The endothelium of these vessels is perforated with large holes, allowing the Kupffer cells to migrate into liver tissue at sites of inflammation and damage.

We had a lecture about phlebotomy in the morning. We got free tourniquet after that! :)
It was pretty toxic in the afternoon. So doble kayod tuloy kami nung hapon. And as usual, over sa over time na naman.
Birthday kasi nung staff. At least umalis kami with happy tummies! :)))

GOOD MORNING. No duty for today. I oh so love my life :)
Toxic sa RR. Dumagsa yung requests dahil monday. Past 1pm na kami nakapaglunch nung co-intern ko. So I just decided to go warding na lang nung hapon with her para makatakas sa stress. More than 2 hours din ang inabot namin to finish 3 pavs.
Haays. Good thing I have 2 days break. And that includes today. I wasn’t able to write yesterday dahil sa sobrang pagod. :)))

Malling is best with the girls! :>
